Enrichment Program  
                         

Kitchen Kids offers after school Cooking Enrichment Programs
for preschool, elementary and middle school aged children. Our
classes are hands-on with step by step instruction.  Kids will
learn  basic cooking  skills while having fun in the kitchen.
They will be introduced to cooking vocabulary, tips and
techniques, kitchen safety and cleanliness.  Our Cooking
Enrichment Program covers many areas of learning from  
math, science, language, arts, social skills and etiquette.  
Kitchen Kids is great for any child who is looking for a mix of
fun and food.
Kitchen Kids Enrichment Programs can be incorporated into
your existing after school enrichment program.  
                     

Early math skills (counting, measuring, sequencing
events, understanding time)

Science skills (chemistry, temperature, cause and
effect)

Language skills (observing, describing, predicting
outcomes)

Healthy eating (reading labels, making good food
choices)

Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

Ability to follow directions

A sense of teamwork
Food literacy (an openness to try new foods,
appreciation about the foods we eat, what they are,
where they come from)

  Kitchen Kids Enrichment Classes

Classes last for approximately one
hour

Fall, Winter and Spring sessions are
offered, each lasting 6 weeks

These programs typically meet
weekly, but alternative arrangements
can be made to suit your schedule

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my school need a kitchen?
No. It is certainly helpful but we
can accommodate classes with
running hot water and electrical
outlets.

What if a student has a food
allergy?

All of our recipes are peanut and
tree nut free. Please make
Kitchen Kids aware of any other
food allergies.

Minimum class size is 10
